When I think of taking a car and going
out on the streets and just putting the accelerator to the floor and swerving
through the streets, I think about my medication (AGAIN). This happens to me a
lot, when I just want to take my car out for a spin and go really fast but the heavens
have never smiled upon me for there remains a major two facts that always slip
my mind….. TRAFFIC and LAW. Both are what I call the thorn in the side of my
car. But just for such erratic urges, we have what we call RACING GAMES……
And the studio that has a vice grip on
this genre has to be code masters. They were out with two brilliant games for
the PC last year, F1 2011 and Dirt 3. Both were pretty successful, Dirt 3 being
a flagship offering from the studio. Dirt 3 has a huge fan base across the
world because for the simple reason it’s a great game franchise. Dirt 3 by far
has been the most anticipated racing game for me. Nut I couldn’t get the time
to play it when it actually released. So unfortunately I am starting pretty
late here but it’s better than never playing it…..
I was able to play the first level of
the game and I have to say I am loving it. I play with an XBOX-360 controller
attached to my PC and I have to say it feels absolutely perfect the way my car
was handling. The terrain was KENYA for my first race that I choose. The visuals
are spectacular if you have the time to look at it. The action is fast like a
racing game should be and the cars are looking good.
I will be playing through the game in
the coming days and will be posting about my experience. The way I see it, I think
I am going to love this game…… I feel an addiction coming on!
